For flexible and therefore economical use, many lines are not permanently connected to each other, but are designed to be separable by means of couplings and adapters. This enables rational and reliable connection and replacement. The design depends on the intended use, the material delivered by the hose and the pressure conditions prevailing in the hose.
PFT practical tip
Mortar hose couplings are a highly safety-related component in the immediate vicinity of the machine operator and as safety, they should be able to withstand at least 2.5 times the working pressure.
The mortar hose couplings provided by PFT should be designed to a maximum bursting pressure of 125 bar.
Apart from a few exceptions, all mortar hose couplings have been checked and certified by TÜV.
