Registration & organisation

You will receive confirmation of your registration and further details by email in good time prior to the start of the seminar.

Registration deadline

Please refer to the respective seminar for the registration deadline.
Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received.

Seminar fees

All prices are subject to the statutory rate of VAT.

Services included

The seminar fees include:

  • Lectures on the listed topics and where applicable practical training, seminar documents, work materials and certificate
  • Refreshments (snacks at break times, hot and cold beverages, lunch)
  • Work clothing - depending on the type of seminar (safety shoes will not be provided!)
  • 1x night hotel accommodation with breakfast and evening event (only with 2-day seminars)

Service

We shall be happy to organise your arrival the day before or your departure the following day - please select accordingly on the registration form.
The additional accommodation costs are at your expense, kindly pay them directly at the hotel.

Seminar documents

The course manuscripts handed out to the participants are intended for personal use only.
They must not be distributed to third parties, duplicated or publicly disclosed.

Cancellation

You can cancel free of charge up to one week before the start of the seminar. After that point, a cancellation fee of 50% of the seminar fee will be payable,
unless you are able to designate a replacement participant or PFT is able to fill the respective space with another interested party.

Cancellation by PFT

If an insufficient number of participants should register for a seminar, kindly understand that we will cancel the seminar or conduct it at a later point in time.
The same applies if any major problems arise that prevent the seminar running, such as the loss of an instructor.
The registered individuals will be notified of this accordingly. We shall endeavour to inform you in good time.
Further claims are excluded.

Data protection

The registration data will be stored on our data carriers for processing. You also confirm that you have read, understood and accepted our data protection policy at www.pft.net/privacy and that you have been duly informed in accordance with Article 13 GDPR.

By registering, you consent to Knauf PFT GmbH & Co. KG using photographs of the participants for the purpose of publication in promotional materials via analogue and digital media. The transfer of unrestricted rights of use takes place free of charge.

Safety

For your safety, we kindly ask that you bring safety shoes with you for the practical element of the course.
We reserve the right to exclude you from the practical element if you do not bring safety shoes with you, in order to prevent an accident.

Seminars & further development

Terms and Conditions of Participation

  • Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received.
  • The substitution of a registered participant is possible at any time.
  • You will receive the arrival information roughly 14 days before the start of the event.
  • You will receive the invoice after the seminar.

What preconditions apply for participation in a seminar?

As a matter of course, anyone can take part in our seminars. We merely recommend seminars for corresponding target groups.

Are the hotel rooms booked by Knauf PFT?

In the case of seminars lasting several days, PFT will assume the costs and the organisation of a hotel booking between the course days.

What is included in the seminar fees?

Unless otherwise stated on the registration forms, the seminars include the following:

  • Lectures on the specified topics with demonstrations and practical training where appropriate.
  • Work materials, course documents
  • Refreshments with face-to-face seminars (snacks during breaks, hot and cold beverages, lunch)
  • Certificate of attendance, for individual seminars certificates of achievement based on a voluntary examination
  • For seminars lasting several days: Hotel accommodation between the course days, unless otherwise stated.

Do I receive a certificate to show I have participated in a seminar?

You will receive a certificate of attendance for your completed seminar.

With some seminars you will also receive a certificate of achievement after successfully passing an examination.

What if I have to cancel the seminar?

  • Registration will be cancelled free of charge if notification is received at least 14 days before the start of the event.
  • Cancellation up to 4 days before the start of the seminar will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the participation fee.
  • Cancellations up to 3 days before the start of the seminar will be subject to an invoice for the entire participation fee.
  • The substitution of a registered participant is possible at any time.

What happens if I cannot attend the entire seminar?

In this case, we will be happy to provide you with the necessary documents. We cannot reimburse you for the elements of the course that you do not attend.

Right to cancel or postpone

If an insufficient number of participants should register for a seminar, kindly understand that we will cancel the seminar or conduct it at a later point in time. The same applies if any problems arise that prevent the seminar running, such as the loss of an instructor or trainer.

In such instances, any payments made will be refunded immediately.

Webinars & further development

What is a webinar?

A webinar is a seminar that takes place online. Unless marked as a recording, the webinar is live, includes a discussion with a presentation and lasts approximately one hour. The webinar has a moderator and a co-moderator to provide support. Participants can ask questions via a chat window, which will be answered by the instructor.

Are webinars subject to a fee?

Our webinars are usually free of charge.

In the case of webinars subject to a fee, the attendance fee can be found on our website.

How do I register for a webinar?

You can find our range of webinars here . Select your desired webinar there and complete the registration form.

What (technical) requirements apply to webinar participation?

Each participant requires their own email address for registration and participation. For technical reasons, multiple participants cannot be registered with a single email address. Certificates of attendance can also only be sent to participants who have logged in with their email address.

General requirements: To participate in an online seminar, you require a fully operational PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet with speakers. You can listen to the audio through your speakers or headphones (headset). You also require a stable internet connection via WLAN or landline. With regards to your web browser, please note that it must be current here.

We use Microsoft Teams as our event platform. You do not need any software other than your end device with a web browser.

How and when do I receive the access data?

After registering for one of our webinars on the page you will receive a confirmation email for the webinar. In it, you will find your personal invitation link for participation as well as the access data. This contains a link to the system check. We recommend testing in advance to make sure your participation in the webinar will be possible without technical difficulties.

If you participate in a webinar subject to a fee, you will receive your access data after receipt of the participation fee.

How can I test whether my technical equipment will work?

After registering for one of our webinars under www.pft.net/training you will receive a confirmation email for the webinar. This contains a link to the system check. We recommend using this to test in advance whether your participation in the webinar will be possible without technical difficulties.

If something does not work, please contact us.

Do I need a microphone or a webcam?

Not as a general rule. You do not need a microphone or webcam. As a participant, you are automatically muted during the webinar. You can easily pose your questions to the instructor via the chat function.

If you register for an interactive webinar in which you can ask your questions via your microphone, you will be explicitly informed of this in the webinar description and registration confirmation. However, as a general rule this is not the case.

Can I also participate in a webinar on a mobile device?

Yes. To attend one of our webinars on a mobile device, all you need is the free Microsoft Teams app on your mobile phone or tablet. This is available for Android and iOS.

Once you have installed the app, you take part in the same way as you would on a computer. Simply click on the participation link from the confirmation email or open the app, and enter the webinar ID from the confirmation email.

How long do webinars last?

Our webinars are scheduled for one hour. If a large number of questions are asked at the end, it may take a little longer.

What is the process for participating in the webinar?

Our webinars start punctually at the specified time. The virtual conference room will be open roughly 15 minutes before the webinar starts. In most cases, instructors give a presentation and an accompanying verbal explanation.

The webinar is conducted by a main moderator, who receives support with certain topics from a co-moderator, as a specialist for the respective topic. In addition, a "silent" moderator supports the participants in the background with any technical difficulties.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in the chat throughout the webinar. These are either answered by the main moderator and co-moderator at specially designated times (always after the training element is over) or during the session in the chat by the "silent" moderator. If - in isolated cases - questions remain unanswered during the training session, these will be answered afterwards.

Can I watch the webinar at a later date?

24 hours after the end of the webinar, all participants and those who were unable to attend will receive an email with a link to the recording of the webinar. This will be available for ten working days.

Can lecturers or participants see and hear me?

No, as an attendee you essentially take part in the webinar on a passive basis. No one can see or hear you. All participants are additionally muted by the organiser. However, you have the option of typing your questions in the chat window. The instructor can then respond to the questions.

Is it possible to ask individual questions?

Yes. You have the option of typing your questions in the chat window. The instructor can then respond to the questions. These are either answered by the main moderator and co-moderator at specially designated times (always after the training element is over) or during the session in the chat by the "silent" moderator. If - in isolated cases - questions remain unanswered during the training session, these will be answered afterwards.

Do I receive the script?

No. Unfortunately, we cannot provide the script. However, 24 hours after the end of the webinar, all participants and those who were unable to attend will receive an email with a link to the recording of the webinar. This will be available for ten working days.

Do I receive a certificate/proof of attendance?

Yes. 24 hours after the end of the webinar you will receive an email with your personal certificate.

Please note that we cannot issue additional certificates if several participants have taken part via one registration (email address). Certificates require registration with your own email address and active participation in person during the webinar. Those who wish to receive a certificate must be permanently logged in with their individual access data during the webinar

The certificates are generated automatically. Please make sure that your data is correct when registering, as we cannot make any changes afterwards.

Participants who have only dialled in via telephone do not receive a certificate. Please note that we cannot issue a certificate manually afterwards.

Please be patient when downloading the certificate. It may take several minutes for your personal certificate to download as a PDF.

What can I do if I do not receive a confirmation email?

Please check your spam folder. In some cases, the email client's spam filtering system may have incorrectly identified the email as spam. It is also possible that your company's servers have blocked the email due to security firewalls.

Please check your email address. Make sure you check the email address you used to register for training. Also make sure that you have not made a spelling mistake when registering.

What can I do if I cannot dial in?

We have three options/tips for you in this regard:

  • Please close the application and start again.
  • Click the following link and register with the webinar ID from the confirmation email and your email address.
  • Please contact Microsoft Teams technical support .

What can I do if I can't see the lecture or hear the instructor?

Please make sure that the Microsoft Teams transfer window is open in the foreground. Please check that your speakers are switched on or your headset is connected and that the appropriate device is selected in the audio options in the Microsoft Teams transfer window.

Right to cancel or postpone

We kindly point out that we reserve the right to postpone the session if less than 10 people register.
